1. A continued dialog with the stack holders of the community

2. Learn about grant writing and maintaining grants for community growth.

3. An increased knowledge of boards and comities of the community. This will better enable these members to help are community to grow.

4. Work on the negative perceptions that surround the community.

5. Work on ways to unify the new and old members of the community. New= moved in Old = home town

The attached Visioning Report and Community Action and Coaching Narrative and Budget are both due in electronic form by December 31.  Early submissions are encouraged!  So much so, that we will award a $250 spending spree for books and resources on Amazon.com to the first eight communities to submit their Community Action & Coaching Narrative and Budget, Visioning Report and update their blog consistent with their reports. As a result of my recent conference call and subsequent correspondence with the Northwest Area Foundation, I believe I have developed a form for communities to complete that will meet the Foundation’s reporting expectations.  To assist community coordinators and steering committees as they fill out the report, I have attached the Expanded Category Grid for blogging.  The grid uses a series of questions that will be useful as communities reflect on the Horizons process and their accomplishments.  Please fill out the attached form and ensure the community blog reflects your community’s progress on outcomes.
